This is an oil painting of Leland Mi.  (fishtown)  The painting takes place in the early 1900's.   Fishtown remains very much the same in this present day.

Marquette "Black Rocks"

This Turbulent Seascape is located at Marquette, a small town upper Michigan.  Water is one of  the most difficult subjects to paint.  It is very important to show the movement.  Painting on location is the best way to achieve this.
